Is Cortex free?
Yes, Cortex is currently free. No subscription, no in-app purchase and no ads.
Do I need to buy an EEG headband?
No. Cortex runs the cognitive tests without any hardware. If you own an EEG headband like NeuroSky MindWave or a BLE heart-rate sensor, you can pair it, and then the signals fold into your profile.
How do I connect my EEG headband?
In the app, open the Device section, start a Bluetooth scan, pick your headband and follow the calibration screen. Signal quality is shown on screen.
Where does heart rate and HRV data come from?
It is read through Health Connect on Android, Apple Health on iOS, or directly from a BLE heart-rate sensor. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.
Is my health data safe?
Your account, test results, EEG and heart data are stored securely on Google Firebase infrastructure. We do not sell your data to third parties.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from the Profile section in the app, or write to us. See the Delete Account page for details.
